Motivational Speaking

You don’t have to be a product of a negative environment.

I truly believe this, because I have lived through many of the struggles of being homeless, juvenile delinquency, single low-income household, gang affiliation, failing grade school, and more.

Carson Academy is a set of presentations and speeches delivered by me, designed to help youth and adults emerge from dysfunction. This is done in small group settings. I developed a philosophy of education that centered on the need to overcome trauma, obstacles, bad habits, and hardship. I regard them as tools that are essential for living a mentally healthy life.

After Mrs. Markwart invited Roderick to speak for a second year in a row, Allen Ramsey who was in the audience had this to say to Roderick: “I'm impressed with your presentation delivery and you have wonderful authenticity."

“Roderick is a great motivational speaker with life living testimonies and words of guidance. I’ve had the pleasure of listening to him at the juvenile home and other events that I have hosted. His ability to capture the youth’s attention when he speaks is amazing. He’s a great person and very much appreciated!"

Comstock CNA

“This year of March 2020, Roderick Carson presented my CNA students with a personal and passionate account of the challenges he has met and conquered in his life.  His message of perseverance and accomplishing his short and long term goals allowed my students to witness someone  whose success story was marked by his personal strength, faith and not giving up.  Roderick encouraged all my students to embrace hope and hard work to achieve their own personal goals in life.”
